* CPU-recognize problems in 2.4.11pre4

With 2.4.11pre4 I see the following problem on a single CPU-System. There is
__no__ APIC and SMP-Support in the Kernel.

Same here (also seems same processor, Athlon 1GHz. On (in)famous VIA A7V
mobo).
Altought, It's fun to see the linuxlogo banner:
Eight 1009MHz AMD Athlon Processors, 512MB RAM, 1291302.75 Bogomips total
