The only way to fix that is to shut down the computer and wait a few seconds before rebooting (if I don't wait, the problem doesn't go away). This is including one 21" LCD (some 30W - 50W). System is a dual dual-core Opteron, 8x Raptor and 2x XFX 7950GT. Full pull it does a bit above 400W. If the PSU has 80% efficiency then it delivers around 320W to all components. I'm pretty sure your 350W PSU is adequate. Ah, that would be why, it's not one of the original nForce4 (CK804/MCP04) chipsets, it's the newer nForce 430 (MCP51) chipset which doesn't support ADMA. There's a known issue with sata_nv on nForce4 controllers running in ADMA mode in 2.6.20 (the first released kernel with ADMA support) where commands can time out when switching between NCQ commands and non-NCQ commands. Hopefully this is fixed in 2.6.21-rc. I never see it in 2.6.19*, just 2.6.20. It is some kind of but in the SATA code paths, or at least that's all it appears to affect on my system. What chipset do you have? I have an nforce4 chipset.
