Nit-pick, I would put it like:

	if (!IS_ERR_OR_NULL(parent->secondary) && !IS_ERR_OR_NULL(parent) &&
	    IS_ERR_OR_NULL(ep))

or

	if (IS_ERR_OR_NULL(ep) &&
	    !IS_ERR_OR_NULL(parent->secondary) && !IS_ERR_OR_NULL(parent))

for the sake of logical split.
